Systems engineering and trade off providing orbit optimisation, estimating communication traffic density patterns, frequency coordination, link budgets, spot beam grids, frequency and polarisation reuse plans, antenna sizing and pattern generation. We help develop satellite specifications and test plans on a case by case basis to match the mission objectives and the client’s specific requirements.Satellite and Launch Vehicle Request for Proposal (RFP)
Assist or manage the RFP process from initial RFP release to prime satellite vendor selection, including proposal evaluations, trade- offs, risk assessments and technical and contract compliance evaluations.Satellite procurement, construction and test monitoring
Full due diligence monitoring of the complete satellite procurement process including supporting qualification and design reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR), qualification test of new space equipment, equipment procurement monitoring and acceptance (TRR, TRB, DRB). Satellite systems testing. When required we supply field office residents and back office sub-system experts. Project management monitoring and continued program risk assessment.Launch vehicle integration
We assist interface and integration monitoring, supporting key mission reviews, mission analysis assessments including couple loads (CLA) reviews and assessing vehicle non conformances and launch vehicle upgrades.Failure reviews
Participating with any satellite and launch vehicle failure non-conformance NRBs and any major launch or in-orbit failure investigations. We have experience working on behave of either satellite operators or insurance companies.Launch campaign
We provide full support during this phase including launch site field office residents to monitor satellite shipment and preparations for launch as well as launch vehicle readiness.Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) and In-orbit-Test (IOT) support
For these phases we can supply platform and payload support either remotely or at the satellite operators designated LEOP and IOT station.Space Investment and Space Insurance
We assist both potential investors and assist with insurance underwriters to make risk assessments. Working with insurance Brokers we provide support to generate tailor made and bespoken payload loss formula to help get the best launch and in-orbit insurance policy for the mission. Assisting with technical question and answer (Q&A) processes with Underwriters.
Since the company was founded in 2009:
GSCL has been awarded GEO construction, assembly and test monitoring contracts for well-established satellite operating companies including Inmarsat, Space42 (formerly Yahsat), SES, Arabsat, Turksat, Hellas, Telesat, Echostar. As of 2025, a total of 17 GEO flight satellites
GSCL has been contracted to work on new GEO mobile space segment studies and new LEO constellation studies
GSCL has been contracted to provide technical risk assessment to venture capital investment companies
GSCL regularly provides risk assessment to the space insurance community, working as both expert technical advisor and expert witness supporting failure review boards and space insurance claims
